Commercial Development Manager (CDT) Waters, this is your challenge

Nestlé Waters & Healthy Beverages provides pure and natural quality water solutions for all consumers, wherever they are, and inspire them to lead healthier lives. We work tirelessly to care for our water resources and we are now using recycled PET plastic across most of our brands. Our ambition is to create a circular economy for plastics, reducing our virgin PET plastic use by a third by 2025.

Do you want to be part of Nestlé Waters BENELUX Category Development team? Are you a team player with a high degree of independence, dynamism and responsibility? Then this role is a unique opportunity for you! As a Commercial Development Manager , you will support the business to lead and develop the category to deliver long term category growth and profitably increase market shares. You will be part of the Benelux commercial development team and will report directly to the Head of the Commercial Development Team. We offer exciting challenges in sales and marketing as well as the opportunity to work with iconic international brands such as PERRIER, S.PELLEGRINO, ACQUA PANNA. The role is based in our office in Amstelveen, with regular travel to Brussels.

As a Commercial Development Manager you have the following responsibilities:

  • Create the yearly strategic plan for our Dutch retail and Benelux out of home channels. Recommend tailored category plan in line with overall market strategy.

  • Ensure that channels' strategy and plans are implemented to deliver category growth based on consumer, shopper and customer insights.

  • Establish clear promotional plans based on market knowledge and business strategy, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our trade investments.

  • Activate our brands in-store via POSM. Together with marketing ensure aligned execution of our brand-strategy on the shopfloor and lead its implementation.

  • Establish winning commercial propositions and support the development of customer and field sales plans. Actively support on new territories hunt and business development opportunities.

  • Implement the Nestlé shelf vision by advising retailers and out-of-home wholesalers with planograms.

  • Gather insights from various sources and turn these into actionable solutions for customers.

  • Drive and lead strategic revenue management projects and take initiative to positively contribute to our growth and margin improvements.

What we are looking for in our Commercial Development Manager:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in sales (FMCG);

  • You have a validated commercial and category management experience where you have demonstrated commercial acumen & excel in customer management. You have a record of success in a customer facing role;

  • You are comfortable with complexity and multi-tasking;

  • You have a strong personal drive with a positive can-do attitude;

  • You are pragmatic with get things done attitude (entrepreneurial mindset);

  • Since the role is cross functional, your co-operation and team skills are critical to get your colleagues on board;

  • You are courageous & curious;

  • You have strong communication skills (incl language skills: Dutch, English, French as a plus);

  • You enjoy turning numbers into stories and action plans;

  • Flexibility to travel to Brussels & be on the field with customers.
