This is a unique opportunity to work in the innovative world of surgical robotics, navigation, and intraoperative imaging. In this role, you will join a highly specialized team of experts across Europe to further establish the use of robotics in spinal surgery. As one of the European Clinical Specialist you will lead the onboarding of new Mazor hospital sites, train surgeons and hospital staff, support robotic procedures on the correct use of the equipment and mentor local technical specialists.
A Day in the Life
Taking a major part in opening new Mazor centers, driving excellency in safe therapy adoption, protecting and gaining market share for Medtronic Spine
Lead, coordinate, and execute new robotic installations on assigned territory in a collaboration with local country sales teams
Support spinal robotic procedures in the OR to drive utilization. Providing assistance to the hospital surgical team with the correct usage of robotic equipment during the case
Support the local teams with clinical evaluations, (re-)trainings and OR support for complex cases for navigation, intraoperative imaging, and cranial robotics
Support the organization of case support, relationship management with surgeons and OR staff, troubleshooting and scheduling of equipment servicing, in partnership with the European Clinical Specialist supervisor and the local team
Support the training and education of surgeons and hospital staff as well as training and mentoring of local Medtronic technical specialists, in collaboration with the Senior Training and Education Specialist
Support marketing activities in your assigned region as well as European marketing activities as a support to drive the adoption of spinal robotic technology
Operating with a high level of autonomy and little oversight, being recognized as an expert within the robotics team
Must Haves
• Prior experience as Clinical Specialist in OR: experience in clinical evaluation/education
• Scientific, technical or clinical background/ engineer; technology savvy
• Very good knowledge of the OR environment
• Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and in a team
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Willingness to travel – around 70% of a time
Nice to Haves
• Knowledge of technical equipment such as surgical navigation and/or imaging
• Knowledge of spinal procedures
• European working experience
• Fluent in any other European languages
