Director, Strategic Sourcing (Indirect Procurement)
Full time, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Poland, or Spain
The Director, Strategic Sourcing (Indirect Procurement) is accountable for procuring regional and global products and services. This includes drafting RFI, RFP, and other procurement-related documentation necessary for sourcing, contract negotiations, and maximizing and leveraging BCD Travel's sourcing and purchasing power. This position manages the Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Service Management Platform, the Global Strategic Sourcing Project List, the Global Strategic Sourcing Contract Repository, and other departmental vendor programs.
As Director, Strategic Sourcing, you will
Negotiate contracts with preferred suppliers (global, regional, country, 3rd party aggregators, wholesalers, etc.)
Manage contract renewal terms and dates
Develop and implement Supplier Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Establish and maintain business relationships, including business owners, to identify needs and requirements; Senior Vice President, Global Strategic Sourcing for approval processes, Finance and accounting as needed for guidance on related matters, and Legal, data privacy, and security departments regarding contract compliance, NDA, and timelines
Implement, monitor, and report results of financial targets
Maintain programs and databases, ensuring all assigned projects are complete and updated frequently
Utilize the most efficient sourcing strategy to satisfy requests based on the scope of work required, the materiality of the project, and other pertinent business factors
Lead the efforts of a Director of Sourcing and a Director of Procurement
About you
Extensive Indirect Spend Supply Chain Management experience is required
Prior experience working on technology, telecommunications, and other types of sourcing engagements, specifically experience with licensing
History of successfully negotiating with such as Google, Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, AWS, and other Saas related entities
Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation in English are required
Highly proficient in one or more additional languages, such as Dutch, German, or French
You have a College, Associate, or University degree or equivalent experience
Proven capability to manage cross-functional work teams
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
CPM, CPSM, or Six Sigma certification preferred
