My client employs technical professionals who specialize in Engineering Projects within yacht and shipbuilding. As an Engineering Project Manager, your typical working day involves starting with a site meeting to discuss project progress and status with the customer. You address any outstanding issues and prepare for a weekly meeting with colleagues to exchange updates and changes related to the project. You also assist colleagues with technical questions and prepare for upcoming project evaluations.

To excel in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with a professional demeanour. You thrive in structured environments, prioritize customer needs, and excel at organizing and coordinating project activities to ensure timely delivery. Decisiveness, leadership, and perseverance are essential qualities, as is the ability to work collaboratively and support team members effectively.

Candidates for this position should hold at least an HBO diploma in mechanical engineering/naval engineering, with prior work experience in a similar role being advantageous. Proficiency in CAD packages such as AutoCad (P&ID), Siemens NX, Shipconstructor, and Cadmatic is preferred. Flexibility to work on-site when required is necessary.
