Eu Project & Communication Manager

In this varied challenging job, you will be responsible for managing project activities and implementing the communication activities of the European Network. You will support the overall strategic objectives of the network and promote the network through clear communication with stakeholders to ensure awareness of this professional international network. 

You will be responsible for conceiving and creating content to increase the involvement of medical specialists and patient groups and ensure optimal visibility of actions and results. Setting up, implementing and supervising internal and external communication is part of your job.

• You are involved in the planning, organization, monitoring and reporting of project activities.
• You work closely together with leading medical experts and patient organisation representatives across Europe by organizing of and assisting with the development of Network initiatives and projects.
• You organise webinars and contact the webinar speakers and chairs.
• You organise meetings and events (annual conference, online and in-person events, board meetings) and coordinate the follow-up of action items.
• You will be in charge of communication channels to disseminate news and information to the network members and the general public, via short newsletters, LinkedIn, X/Twitter accounts, internal platform used by the network).
• You provide assistance in writing project plans and preparing reports.
• You assist the network coordinator and programme manager in organizing their work activities and ensure that deadlines are met.
• You will manage database of medical experts.

The team where you will be working is part of the department of paediatric rheumatology/immunology and infectiology and exists of 5 enthusiastic persons. A coordinator, programme manager, junior project manager, senior researcher and a paediatrician. Stafunit Wilhelmina Childrens Hospital / University Medical Center Utrecht.

• HBO/University work and thinking level.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in a complex international environment interacting with different types of stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
• Experience in organising large scale in-person events.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of current trends in the field of (digital) communication.

• A salary between € 3359 and € 5292 gross per month (salary scale 10), based on full-time employment (36 hours).
• Year-end bonus of 8.3% and holiday allowance of 8%.
• Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 70% of the monthly contribution.
