JOB PURPOSE

A great opportunity becomes available in Benelux Controlling team, as part of national management Benelux. The Finance ControllingAgile Manager plays a key role to drive increased value in the Benelux MCO organization (Turnover €1.3 bln) through delivering of key transformation projects and global & local (change management) initiatives.

You will be assigned flexibly to deliver high-priority projects across the business, within controlling area or customer finance. The role will allow you to develop a broad range of finance, leadership and influencing skills.

The exact scope of projects will be agreed with the line manager upon start, where in general several longer term project will be determined in combination of ad hoc projects. Examples can be implementation new order to cash or payment tool, review and optimalisation of rebate process, M&A implementation, new business models.

The role reports into the Company Controller Benelux and will be based primarily in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Candidates need to fit all the below requirements.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSABILITIES BE?

  • Be the key contact and delivery and change management for the Controlling & Expertise roadmap

  • Lead the financial process improvements, including key transformation projects and global initiatives (integration of acquisitions / disposals)

  • Deliver end-to-end value interventions with cross-functional teams

  • Support and align on milestones and KPIs, and initiate (intermediate) performance evaluations

  • Influence decisions by using financial insight: leverage data to pro-actively communicate insights that enable superior decision making.

  • Drive end-to-end process improvements by using lean principles and automation technologies.

  • Align with internal and external stakeholders, both within the finance organization and cross-functional

  • Responsible for overall quality and predictability of the project/ program.

  • Building and sharing best practices and learnings

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

Required knowledge/skills

  • Financial academic level or equivalent experience

  • Project and change management skills.

  • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)

  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders

  • Problem Solving and action orientated

  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills

  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner

  • Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling skills and attention to detail

  • Creative and innovative

  • Fluent in English both in reading & writing or willingness to learn quickly, with preference additional language Dutch and/or French.

Required Experience

  • Experience in financial controlling & accounting

  • Experience managing a large and complex set of local, regional and global stakeholders

  • Experience in working with shared service providers

  • Experience in presenting to and communicating with senior stakeholders (Finance and non finance)

  • Experience project management skills, including change management

  • Fluent in English both in reading & writing (preferred also local language Dutch).
