In January 2021, this company was founded in Rotterdam by a chemical manufacturer. This startup company deals with a raw material used in coatings and epoxy, among other things. The company is originally Japanese and the working language in the workplace is mainly English for this reason. The European market has the greatest demand for this raw material. This demand is stable, persistent, and efficient in terms of logistics and transportation for the supply of various key raw materials. Because of this, in cooperation with its parent company, the company has a lot of room to grow.

Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. To 4:30 p.m. With a half-hour break. Working from home is partly possible, it is required to be able to work 2/3 days at the Botlek office. The other days working from home is possible but offices are also reserved in the wholesale building next to Rotterdam Central Station. Parking at the Botlek office is ample and free and travel expenses are fully reimbursed for public transport or at 22 cents per km. It is easy to travel by car but also with public transport if you live somewhere around Delft, Schiedam, Westland, Rotterdam en Den Haag

Functieomschrijving

As a Financial & Accounting Assistant you will work 32-40 hours per week at an international company. At a beautiful office in the Botlek you will be responsible for various tasks with your financial and accounting background. You will join a team of currently 4 people, which will eventually be expanded to 6/7. The company is a startup and that is why they are looking for a proactive employee who takes responsibility and likes to contribute to the growth of the company but also to himself. You will support and work closely with the Manager Finance & Accounting.

Your tasks include:

• Reporting daily and periodic accounting matters to the Manager Finance & Accounting.
• Updating and maintaining the general ledger through our ERP system.
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are assigned to the correct cost centers/accounts, and the overall accuracy of accounting statements.
• Preparing, assisting and preparing accounting statements.
• Preparing and handling invoices.
• Preparation of various management accounting reports.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual cost accounting reports, in cooperation with the production department.

Functie-eisen

• HBO, HEAO or MEAO degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field;
• Proven at least 3 years of experience in the position of financial officer;
• Familiar with Dutch GAAP and Dutch tax issues. ( belastingwetgeving )
• Excellent command of the English language in both word and writing;
• Skill with MS Office and an ERP and/or other accounting system.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

• Directly on contract with the client;
• A gross annual salary of between 55,000 & 60,000 (including vacation pay);
• 0.22 c per km travel allowance (public transport is fully reimbursed);
• Fulltime or Parttime employment (32-40 hours per week);
• Temporary contract with the prospect of permanent;
• Work from home opportunities;
• 25 vacation days.
