The world of Food Solutions is a dynamic and exciting environment. Passionate professionals work hard to carry out their common ambition to “support, inspire, progress”. Unilever Food Solutions (ufs.com) is the dedicated culinary foodservice business of Unilever, which operates in more than 70 markets across the globe. The UFS portfolio consists of many of the world’s leading food brands like Knorr, Hellman’s and Unox. UFS organization set up is a global team based in Rotterdam and 26 MCO’s.

UFS needs to become more agile, faster than anticipated due to the COVID impact. P&L and external circumstances demand it and earlier UFS investments in digital & the learnings from customer/operator interactions during COVID enable this acceleration now. Inflationary environment requires us to watch closely on costs, to protect our profitability.

More than ever the finance function is key to drive and support this acceleration.

Therefore, the FP&A and SCF function is key, more than ever, to keep track of progress, set the right priorities and unlock value creation.

JOB PURPOSE

The FP&A and SCF Analyst is a key position in the Global UFS Finance team. The team consists out of 3 people and plays a key role in Food Solutions Global Performance Management. The FP&A and SCF Analyst has full P&L responsibility, including performance analyses using the latest technologies for of 26 FS PUs around the Globe. He/she also has a key role in preparing management information for the UFS Leadership team and Finance team, leading the results process (actuals), analysing gross margin variances, as well as the set-up and control of the Global Budgets. The FP&A Analyst reports directly into the FP&A Manager for Food Solutions.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

The FP&A and SCF Analyst will be responsible for:

  • UFS monthly end closing (actuals).

  • Gross margin variances Analysis (actuals and FC).

  • Gross margin yearly guidance setting.

  • Monthly budget management for global teams (CD, Marketing, HR, R&D).

  • Prepare key financial & strategic insights to UFSLT, FLT and Finance business partners across all PUs.

  • Drive automation and further optimization of all FP&A processes.

  • Business acumen: natural passion for driving sustainable business growth.

  • Passion for high performance: deliver and takes accountability for a step up in UFS with the aim to get back asap to 2019 financial results. Proactive and hands-on.

  • Accountability & Responsibility: able to keep yourself and others accountable and to deliver according to plan.

  • Communication & presentation skills: able to present effectively to different teams, and to flex the communication style depending on the audience.

  • Networking skills: able to work (remotely) with numerous stakeholders and to develop with them collaborative relationships.

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Academic degree in Business Administration / Economics.

  • Minimum 1 year of full P&L experience. Candidate should be able to identify and act on risks & opportunities with potential top/bottom line impact for the business.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (in English), with ability to deliver concise information to any senior Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.

  • Proactive and hands-on mentality. Strong focus on driving value, impact and continuous improvement.

  • Strong team collaboration mindset (cross-cultural experience).

  • Experience in other FP&A roles, or experience with analytical projects and financial modelling is preferred.
