The Front Office department is the first and last impression a guest has of the hotel and we are looking for an experienced Front Office Manager who has exactly that focus in mind!

Job description

We are looking for a Front Office Manager to oversee the Front Office team consisting of Guest Service Agents, Front Office Supervisors, Night Managers and our Concierge Team.You constantly strive to offer the best service to our guests as well as being a motivating leader to your team.

What are your responsibilities?

•Evaluate levels of guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement.

•Ensure regular guests and VIP guests are recognized and that the team promotes the Hilton Honors loyalty program.

•Take on a guest relations role in handling guest complaints and analyzing issues in a solution-oriented method.

•Maximize room occupancy at the best rates and use upselling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.

•Set departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies and procedures.

•Manage the Front Office administration and finance processes.

•Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork

•Ensure Team Members have updated knowledge of hotel products, services and pricing as well as knowledge of the local area.

•Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments.

•Manage the recruitment of new Team Members, ensure a positive onboarding experience and focus on training and developing Team Members.

•Attend management and operational meetings where necessary.

•Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislations.

Required skills and competencies

In this role we are looking for the following skills and competencies:

•A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an (Assistant) Front Office Manager role – preferably in a 4 or 5 star hotel

•Fluent in English and Dutch with strong communication skills

•Commercial awareness and a sales attitude

•Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

•Excellent leadership skills and a lead-by-example attitude
