Frontend Engineer Caren

As a Front-end Engineer, you contribute to building a pleasant and accessible interface for the Caren solution. Our goal is to provide clients, their families, and healthcare organizations the opportunity to collaborate closely, thereby improving the health of the clients. Additionally, we aim to enhance healthcare processes by encouraging organizations to be as transparent as possible and offer all available medical information to clients and their network.

3. Create a plan to keep the codebase maintainable and up-to-date.

Required experience and skills

You are engaged and not afraid to innovate, working collaboratively to find the best solution. You are meticulous and enjoy continuous learning. A specific education is therefore less important to us.

We build on the Ruby on Rails 7 foundation using Turbo and Stimulus. We prefer constructing a so-called large monolith, utilizing HTML over the wire and web sockets.

Do you also recognize yourself in the following?

• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in developing responsive front-ends;
• You have experience with HTML, (Sassy) CSS, and JavaScript;
• You have a good sense of design and an affinity for UX;
• You have experience with design systems and maintaining the associated component library.
• You have knowledge of accessibility and a clear vision of building a structured and maintainable codebase;
• Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written. Mastery of the Dutch language is not a must but is a plus;
• If you work in a different time zone, we prefer to have at least 50% overlap so that we can schedule meetings, pair sessions, etc.;
• You feel comfortable in an environment with many uncertainties (startup mentality);
• You have a 'I've never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.' mentality.
