What you'll do
This role provides opportunities for customer interaction and learning as it is for Central Business Configuration (CBC). The Central Business Configuration (CBC) team provides business configuration for Intelligent Enterprise Suite applications. We deliver content covering 270+ scenarios, for 40+ countries, in 37+ languages and tailored to several key industries. Responsibility for continuous innovation and support of specific product features in a team. Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Full responsibility for accepted tasks and therefore demonstrates a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. Works closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
What you bring
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze production issues that affect CBC customers.
Automate repetitive tasks and improve existing processes.
Analytic thinking and detailed oriented approach towards analyzing issues and identifying patterns.
Document solutions in a knowledge base, so that subsequent problem solving is effective.
Ability to work in virtual team and act as “team player”.
Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in message processing, customer notes, software corrections and software enhancements in the assigned areas of responsibility.
Participate and offer support for the de-escalation of critical customer situations
Contribute on continuous improvement of software quality adhering to defined requirement and bug processes.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required:
A student or graduate in computer science or a similar discipline.
Basic familiarity with cloud technologies Kubernetes (K8s).
Able to apply critical thinking skills to understand the root cause of an issue.
Passionate about automation and making the computers do the work for you.
Basic knowledge of e.g. Python, ABAP, JavaScript, TypeScript.
Able to work within a global team, embracing different perspectives and cultures.
Fluent in the English language, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Efficiently and calmly operate under pressure in emergency situations.
Strong customer focus, service minded and experience in handling customer escalations.
Familiar with agile software development leveraging continuous testing, continuous integration, and potentially continuous deployment automation.
Basic knowledge of DevOps toolsets (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Jira) integrated with test tools.
CI/CD frameworks

Currently SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition is the most important Cloud Solution supported by CBC.
