We are currently recruiting for an Intern for our Finance Division in Amsterdam.

Function positioning

The role is part of the Finance Team of MBE and reports to the Head of Statutory Reporting, Policies and Projects. Finance is a function which aims to improve itself and provide further value to MBE and its stakeholders. The diverse mix of both an international environment, improvement initiatives and new developments at MBE which finance is involved in contribute to an environment of learning opportunities and the ability to acquire a wide perspective on the bank.

Within the Statutory Reporting team, you will be part of a team focused on analysing and understanding key developments in statutory reporting and non-financial reporting domain from a policy, reporting and disclosures perspective. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team involved in the finance transformation journey of the bank and make a real impact by helping us implementing ESG-related reporting requirements.

The role includes the following tasks:

  • Analyze and research one current issue/opportunity as topic of your thesis

  • Assist the ESG team in non-financial reporting and organizational readiness assessment

  • Support the collection of data required for reporting

  • Add value with your thesis and recommendations during the upcoming implementation of the non-financial related disclosure

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

The tasks described above, apply to the business of the MBE Amsterdam office and its branches.

What are we looking for:

  • 3rd or 4th year Bachelor or enrolled in a master degree student

  • Interested in Banking Sector

  • Fluently in English, both verbal and in writing is a must

  • Full time available between April and July
