Opportunity Overview

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations/transactions of the International Supply Chain from product being available at a CMO to its delivery to the customer.  You will be responsible for ensuing uninterrupted supply of product to all international patients. 

The role includes management and oversight of demand planning, warehousing, third party logistics, customer service and distribution, whilst operating in accordance with GMP/GDP. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Technical Operations function with expectations for collaboration with other departments as needed, including Manufacturing, Analytical, Quality, Finance, IT, Commercial, Legal, etc.  You will thrive in this opportunity if you enjoy being part of a creative and dynamic team committed to delivering on our mission for the benefit of our patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support and participate in global S&OP process; including demand forecasting to meet business management needs and regulatory and quality requirements including the consolidation of country requirements, inventory, planning, forecasting, and distribution

  • Have primary planning responsibility for international product demand

  • Represent Rhythm Supply Chain to International Affiliates and distributors

  • Support the artwork change, liaise with stakeholders throughout the artwork creation or change process, monitoring/communicating timelines and getting all the input to meet the artwork deadlines

  • Create SOPs and define processes to ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines

  • Develop and review key performance indicators and metrics

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship and activities of the central 3PL

  • Manage cold chain logistical shipments between international facilities

  • Establish and implement International Supply Chain plans

  • Ensure supply is planned appropriately at all nodes to meet agreed minimum inventory levels thereby ensuring no stock-outs

  • Drive system and process improvements to enhance Supply Chain visibility and increase Supply Chain resiliency

  • Become Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert for Rhythm’s selected ERP solution

  • Support launches in new countries

  • Raise POs in the ERP and monitor its execution

  • Run the MRP in ERP and react to exception messages as a part of inventory management process

  • Oversee the activities by CMO

    Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience managing EMEA and/or global pharmaceutical Supply Chains is required with 4+ years at management level

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain management, procurement, engineering, operations, finance and business administration) preferred, an advanced degree in an applicable area preferred

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Proven ability to develop process driven solutions

  • Ability to take a leadership role and drive quality progress

  • Willingness and capability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities within the time constraints

  • ERP implementation experience – Dynamics 365 preferred

  • Ability to successfully work both within a team and independently

  • Excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    This role is based in our International office, Amsterdam, NL. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the International office in coordination with their department and business needs. This role may involve some travel.
