Marketing Research Specialist

For our Media, Analytics and Insights team, we are looking for a Market Research Expert who will partner directly with brand and product marketers to recommend, plan and execute market research in pursuit of a deeper understanding of customers' attitudes, beliefs and motivations. The Market Research specialist will look to pull in customer insights from both traditional market researches that run in a global level and non-traditional sources to develop a holistic understanding of what is going on in the hearts and minds of customers. 

The Team

In this role you'll be working with 2 other team members with different skills and expertise. You will report to the Expert Lead Media, Analytics & Insights. 

Roles and responsibilities

As a Marketing Research Specialist you will collaborate closely with the senior market research expert within the team in helping the global teams to grasp the research findings and translate them into valuable insights, whilst also working with your peers in the markets to increase knowledge sharing. Key is your ability to understand the needs of the global teams and markets, translate these into research / insight projects and action them. 

Some of the key responsibilities are but not limited to;  

• Advise and interact with cross-team stakeholders on their market research needs and objectives 

• Set-up, manage and execute market research projects from A to Z, in close collaboration with colleagues and key stakeholders  

• Clearly summarize and communicate research findings and able to convert data in appealing visuals that conveys your message and the insight that needs to be shared 

• Partnering up with external vendors; such as research & media agencies, consultancies on various global projects 

• Connect research findings to other sources (analytics, media, social listening) to widen the findings and the reach of your insights 

• Support on consolidating & harmonizing other data streams to aid in complimenting insight provision

We are looking for the following traits and experience: 

• Bachelor or Master degree in marketing or other relevant degree 

• 4+ years professional experience either on market research company or brand side 

• Data driven attitude: true data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights 

• Strong project management skills; running multiple projects at the same time

• Strong multitasking, accuracy and prioritizing skills in fast paced environment 

• Creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements 

• Proven experience of transforming data into actionable insights 

• Experience with analyzing data tables and reporting using with Excel and Power Point  

• Strong communication and presentation skills 

• Flexible, likes to explore, can handle changes, and not yet set project boundaries 

• Excellent level in English spoken and written 

• Willing to travel to ING markets, if required
