About Role:
An operations engineer is an engineer who specializes in industrial processes, systems and equipment. we oversee and work to optimize the operational processes of a company's systems. We may design more efficient workflows, enhance equipment operations or optimize the use of resources.
Responsibility
- Coaching and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members and share your expertise through coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for improved efficiency.
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time
- Execute blameless postmortems and root cause analysis from e2e and follow up on them
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes - Assisting developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Provide standby support for critical production systems when required
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after regular hours
Who are you?
- Knowledge and understanding of software development and deployment process.
- Linux hands-on experience (knowledge of basic Linux commands, shell scripting, managing files, permissions, users & groups, links, etc)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines preferably Azure, Ansible, helm
- Experience with Docker/containers/k8s
- Experience with Monitoring tools (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Experience with Database Management: Tuning SQL queries, identifying issues, and implementing improvements in Oracle
- Experience in supporting Java-based applications
- Experience with addressing risk related issues like vulnerabilities
- Experience in working with IT risk management controls like identifying potential risks in an application and how to handle them, familiarity with penetration testing, understanding of Security event monitoring concepts, etc
- Experience in documenting & maintaining IT risk management controls of an application
- Familiar with fail-safe disaster recovery and business continuity concepts
- Familiar with managing certificates, external connections
- Familiar with Banking Touchpoint concepts (Sidecar, Access & Peer tokens, Service discovery, client-side load balancing)
Nice to Have
- Networking/Infra/Middleware knowledge (Cloud, firewalls, FTP, XFB, Kafka)
- Familiarity or work experience with Private & Public cloud
- Familiar with Internal/External Gateways
- Managing Externally hosted applications
