Location/Division Specific Information
PD Eindhoven is a low volume, high mix factory. It is not a standard factory: we build customer specific Transmission Electron Microscopes with lots of technological challenges, and many changes in customer order content. It makes this industry super exciting and interesting.
Discover Impactful Work:
You're reporting to the Supervisor Logistics, within Operations and will be part of a team of 11 Configuration & Order fulfillment / shipping specialists.
You will be responsible for supporting and coordinating our Order desk Team. In this position you will use strong interpersonal skills (verbal/written) on all levels. You will interact with multiple collaborators, internal customers, manufacturing, MPS & production planning, procurement, finance, product-marketing managers, account managers, sales and service operations, and senior management.
A day in the Life:
Support the team : by learning several roles you can support the team where vital. Handle the workload together.
Continuous improvement : because you know the roles, you can work on improvements with the team. You can define your own projects to get the team to a higher level
Support Supervisor : by taking over tasks and reports. Supporting the improvements initiatives initiated by the supervisor. Work together on team building.
Back up Supervisor : in case of absence, take over the parts of the role as agreed before
Keys to Success:
Education
- Bachelor (HBO) in supply chain management (e.g. logistics, and management) or career experience that show the vital skills.
Experience
Experience within equipment manufacturing and knowledge of sophisticated production / logistics processes in an international high technological environment.
Experience of working within a Multi-National Company
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills, works pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and in different departmental and geographical cultures, at various hierarchical levels.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Dutch
Self-assured, capable of convincing people
Strong analytic capability and a pro-active initiating attitude
Change- management competencies.
Aim to get results in place.
Ability to plan and set priorities.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
General understanding of how a supply chain works.
Knowledge of Customs and Warehousing is preferred.
