We are looking for a new Tribe Lead for the Platform Tribe as our previous lead will now head the Nedap Technology Platform. The new Tribe Lead will work closely with the Nedap Technology Platform (NTP) and keep building out the Healthcare Platform Tribe.
The Platform Tribe Lead will be part of the leadership of Nedap Healthcare together with the other Tribe Leads and several department heads. At the same time, the Platform Tribe Lead is responsible for day-to-day operation of the internal teams of the Platform Tribe.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for technology and good grasp on modern development standards. One that can align the operational and technological aspects of the tribe with the overarching strategic and business goals of the Nedap Healthcare market group. Someone who isn’t afraid to be opinionated, but also understands that the path to improvement is at times gradual and requires adoption and understanding. And who can keep the tribe-internal teams aligned on a shared vision, strategy and roadmap, while connecting with the other tribes to align on mutual interests, goals and planning.

Required experience and skills

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • Relevant work and thinking level.
  • You have several years of experience in technical or technology/ software leadership roles.
  • Hands-on team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Good command of the Dutch and the English language.

Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap. As Platform Tribe Lead you are visible in the organization. At least twice a week you are present at our headquarters in Groenlo. In addition, working from our Creative Valley office in Utrecht is also possible.
The Platform tribe is an enabling tribe. Its main goal is to make software development at Nedap Healthcare easier. The tribe serves the other tribes by providing and improving software development practices and platforms using standards, tools, libraries, and services, as well as the support and best practices needed to make the most out of these. The platform tribe currently has 18 people, distributed over 4 teams.
Examples of current topics & challenges:

  • Standardised deployment & release process; We want application teams to have grip on and confidence in any deployments made. This means (finishing) migration towards a consistent deployment platform and having the right process in place and brings quality to the next level.
  • Observability; how can we make application teams fully aware of how their application and its context (the rest of the "Ons® Suite" and any systems depended on) are doing?
  • Standardisation and defragmentation of tooling; We want to unburden developers with the right tooling needed to build applications. How can we form a vision on similar types of tooling, enable ownership for these and move them to the future?
