AdresOur client is seeking a mid-level creative and talented Product Designer to join their team on a 1-year contract basis. As a key member of the design team, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing visually stunning product designs for esteemed clients, including industry leaders such as L'Oréal and Coty. We specificly are looking for someone with a background in design of bags, FMCG, fashion, jewelry or accessories or other give-aways or goody's. We are not looking for digital product design or industrial design but only people with experience in commercial product design.
Key Responsibilities:1. Conceptualization and Ideation:
Work closely with the design team and clients to understand project goals and objectives. Generate innovative design concepts that align with client brand identities, product goals and target prices. Having a sense of fashion and trends
2. Product Design and Development: Develop detailed product designs, including packaging, displays, and promotional materials, adhering to project timelines and budgets. Utilize industry-standard design software to create prototypes and mock-ups for client approval. Having a strong technical background regarding construction and material. Ensure that the sampling stage meets the client's expectations by staying regularly in touch with our development department.
3. Brand Consistency: Ensure that all designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all product lines.
4. Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, and emerging technologies, and design best practices to inform creative decisions.
5. Client Collaboration: Engage in regular communication with clients to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on final products to ensure they meet design specifications and client expectations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- You live in Amsterdam
- You have relevant work experience. No starters. but minimum 3 years of experience
- Proven experience in product design, preferably in the beauty, fashion or consumer goods industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, particularly on Mac platforms, including:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
