Public Relations Manager

We’re looking for a Public Relations Manager who is passionate about W Hotels’ values and passion. The PR Manager must represent the W lifestyle to our guests and the local community. They, like the rest of our ‘talent’, are the soul behind the brand, and they bring it to life.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong familiarity with the media landscape, relationships, and networks with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers, especially in the Benelux.

  • Visionary thinking by finding creative solutions, while taking Ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.

  • Ability to multitask, handle tight deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, strong attention to detail.

  • A proactive, self-motivated, solution-oriented, and creative professional who can work autonomously and within collaborative environments.

  • Computer literacy, with a mastery of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Public Relations.

  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and Dutch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and implement proactive PR strategies to promote W Amsterdam, W Lounge and Away Spa and enhance brand reputation in the market.

  • Drive unique PR campaigns for a repositioned hotel, ensuring qualitative extensive media coverage and stakeholder engagements.

  • Cultivates and nurtures long-lasting relationships with local, regional, and international media outlets, employing top-notch communication and interpersonal skills to foster valuable press outcomes for W Amsterdam.

  • Oversee the development of press releases, interviews, quotes, articles, and other PR communications materials that reflect W Hotel’s tone of voice and values.

  • Craft and refine editorial pitches and narratives that mirror the essence of W Amsterdam and compellingly convey brand stories to the press.

  • Coordinate media visits and instantly handle media queries and interviews.

  • Organise, manage, and promote PR activities that align with our needs, such as press engagements, interviews, etc.

  • Carry out site inspections and assist at media events and shoots.

  • Develop and maintain a network for events and potential collaborations.

  • Anticipate potential PR crises and be prepared with pre-emptive solutions. Handle any PR issues swiftly and professionally in coordination with the department head.

  • Monitor and analyze PR outcomes, ensuring metrics align with our brand's objectives.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to ensure our PR strategies remain cutting-edge.

  • Showing guests our Whatever/Whenever service while they are with us, and connect with them to be able to personalize that service, creating memorable experiences.

  • We are ALL-IN, and have more teams that we cooperate with . We expect you to be flexible to work with other departments. You’re not the only one on stage.
