JOB PURPOSE

A great opportunity becomes available within the MCO Controlling Team in the Benelux.
The Risk Manager plays a pivotal part in the Benelux MCO organization (Turnover 1.3 billion) as the guardian of the companies “protect value” criteria. The role reports into the Benelux Company Controller.

You will have many focal points with expertise teams, 3rd party service providers and the MSO business. Deployment of Global Expertise, Proactive Risk management & Controls and Transformational projects are the key areas of responsibility residing with the Risk Manager.


If you would like to oversee processes, risks and controls throughout the company and be in the driving seat to be in in control, then this is the role for you.

The role will allow you to develop a broad range of finance, stakeholder management and advisory skills.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSABILITIES BE?

Proactive Risk Management & Controls

  • Lead proactive, dynamic risk management and operational controls
  • Drive efficiency in compliance and control activities in partnership with UniOps
  • Accountable for financial controls within direct area of responsibility
  • First point of contact for the external and internal auditors

Deployment of Global Expertise

  • Protect and liberate value through partnership with Global Expertise teams.
  • Manage relevant third party relationships as agreed with Global Expertise

Transformational projects

  • Local leadership, delivery and change management for the Controlling & Expertise roadmap
  • New business model deployment in our financial control framework

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Relevant finance degree or accounting qualification
  • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders
  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
  • Fluent in English & (preferred) Dutch both in reading & writing or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience in areas of financial accounting, controlling and risk management within role(s) within consumer goods or services
  • Knowledge of PCOB standards, SOX legislation and IFRS standards
  • Experience working with large complex data from multiple sources
  • Experience managing local, regional and global stakeholders
  • Experience in presenting to and communicating with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
