About the role of Senior Accountant:
Actively participates in the project of transferring the local distribution entity from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA system. Performs a variety of complex duties in general accounting and financial planning such as analyzing accounts and cost centers, preparing reports, performing monthly financial close and consolidation activities, external and internal reporting, monitoring SOX/internal control requirements, supporting financial analysts’ team. Measures performance against key performance indicators, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Actively participate in the SAP transition project and support other team members involved in it.
• Work with the team members and other stakeholders on analyzing the impact of the system change and proper remediation plan for any risks raised.
• Support with preparing/gathering the documentation and testing of the new system functionalities.
• Optimize current financial accounting process in coordination with stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvement and standardization.
• Supports the team with executing month/quarter/year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate close and financial reports preparation.
• Drive compliance in all finance-related matters and ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and GAAP principles.
• Support internal and external audits and audit-related accounting matters (SOX, CA&C).
• Apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal demands, ethical standards and the Internal Quality Management System
Who are we looking for:
• Bachelor Financial accounting or Business Economics or equivalent level
• 5+ years’ experience in relevant financial field, experience in supply chain is a plus
• SAP experience, preferred experience with S4 HANA/transition. Hyperion experience is a plus
• Fluent in English, additional language capabilities are a plus
• Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships
• Self-motivated yet team player and takes ownership in all responsibilities
• Change agent that focuses on a high level of quality.
• Continuous Improvement and analytical mindset.
• Project management skills are a plus.
