Functieomschrijving
- Develop models / tools to compute warehousesize based on data inputs like sales/inventory forecast, warehouse layoutdesign, storage method, etc. And measure space utilization.
- Develop models / tools for warehouse resourcesplanning, including but not limited to, labor, packaging material, equipment, etc
- Develop models / tools to forecast inventorylevel, inbound / outbound order volume based on parameters like demand forecast, lead time, historical repair rate, part quality, distribution model, servicenetwork expansion, etc.
- Innovation in inventory modelling, startingfrom single node inventory optimization to multi echelon (several nodes)inventory optimization. Develop solutions on inventory forecasting techniquesto provide the business with a forward looking view of inventory, in line withour demand and supply planning teams.
- Support with warehouse launch/moves/closures tooptimize the distribution network while performing regular capacity planninganalyses based on upcoming build plans.
- Develop, track, and own reporting metrics toroot cause gaps across the Supply Chain, then project manage cross-functionallyacross the Service and Supply Chain organization to close them out.
- Investigate and explore opportunities tooptimize, scale, and automate processes using data-driven solutions andapplications.
- Translate quantitative research and analysisinto actionable insights, prepare visualizations, and present findings withinfluential storytelling.
- Develop decision support systems, tools, andmodels that are scalable and reproducible to assist in planned growth anddecision making for distribution network capabilities.
- Simulate and conduct sensitivity analysis tostress test existing network and future models to identify operationalbottlenecks and risks.
- Formulate and analyze what-if scenarios, designand evaluate experiments, alternate and conceptual models.
- Champion the use of Operations Research andData Science concepts, techniques, and best practices.
