Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java/React)

About this role:

The mission of our team is to help our restaurant and grocery partners grow by providing them with tools and processes to control their products on our platform, constantly improving their engagement, and seamlessly sharing this data with customers and the rest of the business.

You will work as part of a collaborative and agile team of world-class engineers responsible for designing and implementing solutions that will help us to fulfil our mission. You’ll be involved in every stage of the process, including maintaining a secure, reliable and performant platform.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Track the progress that you are making towards the wider goals of your team, and transparently communicate that progress to your team and Technology Manager.
• Consistently produce high-quality software which fits the team’s expectations and best practices
• Ensure you and others continuously improve by proposing and then implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make your team more effective.
• Contribute to the definition of product features, including in workshops with other product development teams.
• Communicate the technical work of your team to internal stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for supporting your changes all the way through to prove that they work well – and continue to work well – in production.
• Support our components in production, being part of an on-call rota.
   

What will you bring to the table?

• Strong Java and React experience
• Amazon Web Services (or similar e.g. Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Delivering high-quality software projects, using established best practices.
• Able to work independently and collaborate to solve complex problems.
• Experience with GraphQL is desirable
