As the Senior Manager Strategic Marketing Europe you will be responsible for continuous strategic positioning of Hach in Europe by setting the direction of marketing efforts to the right customer segments with the right marketing mix to create competitive advantage and deliver the best customer value.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that our marketing efforts are precisely aligned with customer needs and market dynamics. You will possess a deep understanding market segmentation, targeting and positioning methodologies, as well as an outstanding ability to create insights, turn those insights into a sustainable growth strategy and drive that strategy implementation across the region.

The Senior Manager Strategic Marketing Europe goal is to not only enhance our market share but to create a sustainable competitive advantage to Hach. From data driven insights, shaping the right offer to our customers to delivering the best customer value through meticulously applied VES (continuous improvement) tools, you will be instrumental to keep Hach Europe on a sustainable growth path.

This is a remote role, and can be located anywhere across Europe.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Identifying industry and regulatory trends, emerging technologies, and changes in customer behavior to continuously innovate and adjust our strategy to dynamics of external environment.

  • Ensuring key customer segments are based on specific customers’ needs, types and geographies.

  • Developing the right mid-term strategy for each focus segment in Europe through working closely with product, pricing and sales teams to tailor offerings to meet the specific needs of different customer segments.

  • Defining and articulating the offering’s unique value proposition for each target segment.

  • Developing and implementing yearly targeted marketing strategies for each identified segment in key countries in Europe.

  • Using our continuous improvement tools (VES), establishing streamlined processes for integrating strategy into day-to-day commercial operations in the countries, fostering efficiency and consistency in our approach.

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as needed.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Business or Chemistry. Master’s or MBA degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience in commercial functions and 5 years of team leading experience.

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing and leading customer centric Business or Marketing strategy at regional or global level.

  • Deep understanding of market segmentation, targeting methodologies, and brand positioning. Familiarity with market research methodologies and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and different cultures. International work experience is a plus.
