About this role:
As a Senior People Technology Developer you will design, develop, and implement innovative HR technology solutions within JET’s People Technology team focusing on the product area of ‘People Experience’ including products related to Recruiting, Total Rewards, Talent and Learning.
You will be responsible for the entire development life cycle of the projects you work on including requirement gathering, deployment and maintenance of both integrations, WD Extend and other highly technical People Technology solutions.
You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including People Technology Product, other HR teams, IT, and various business stakeholders, to ensure sophisticated and well-thought out solutions which successfully leverage and improve both the HR technology landscape as well as the general IT landscape within JET.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Contributing significantly to the architectural direction of People Technology.
- Consistently and independently configuring production-ready, sophisticated solutions that are easy to understand, test, and maintain.
- Independently creating unit, acceptance, and wider system integration tests, addressing expected edge cases and errors.
- Collaborating closely with Product and HR leadership to prioritize work based on the cost of delay.
- Understanding the cost implications of running systems and factors in cost considerations when proposing technical solutions.
- Identifying security gaps during configuration reviews.
- Acting as a mentor to junior colleagues, providing guidance on technical and procedural details.
- Providing operational support for systems within the Product Area of People Experience
What will you bring to the table?
- An advanced knowledge of HR Systems and integrations obtained through relevant work experience.
- Extensive experience with integrations including Workday Studio, APIs, PECI, JSON, XML, XSLT, Workday Connectors and integration methodologies such as Boomerang
- Workday Extend or general software development experience,knowledge of programming languages, experience of building automated solutions and an understanding of SAML/SSO certifications and working with IDEs is a plus
- Experience within the product area of ‘People Experience’ for example Recruiting, Equity, Benefits, Talent and learning related systems and integrations
- Experience working with an Agile methodology
- A team player, contributing effectively in meetings and working groups, fostering constructive collaboration and open communication within the team with relevant stakeholders.
