The Senior Site Support Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing IT support to associates and sites in Germany, Netherlands and Austria.

This position is part of the Germany IT Site Support Team located in Krefeld(Primary) & Aachen(Satellite), Germany and will be an on-site position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the EMEAI IT Team and report to the Manager of Information Technology Germany with responsibility for the IT Helpdesk & Onsite Support for Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial and Training center locations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Install, configure, deploy and maintain PC hardware, MS operating systems and software.
  • Provide phone, e-mail/instant messaging and hands-on support to associates mainly in Germany but also in Netherlands and Austria. Maintain records of incidents and request in ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot incidents with computer systems, including hardware and software, messaging, network, printers, telephony, peripheral equipment and accessories; make repair and correction where necessary.
  • Work with infrastructure support teams and external contactors to install, configure and deploy servers, network hardware and other infrastructure equipment. Provide hands-on support when required.
  • Provide support for global and local applications, participate on application deployment, testing and validation. Participate also on local, regional and global projects and process improvement activities, occasionally leading them.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • You have a successfully completed apprenticeship or a degree in computer science or a similar field and a minimum of 5+ years of experience on 2nd Level Support(Site Support/Site lead).
  • You are very interested in direct customer contact and in successfully solving simple & complex IT problems in partnership with global IT colleagues in a varied working day.
  • You bring a high degree of independence with you and are used to acting on your own responsibility as well as working together with many different colleagues in a global organization.
  • You bring very good communication skills in verbal and written form and Language proficiency: German - C2 or native speaker + English min. B2, preferably C1 and a driving license (class B).
  • O365 platform (SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, etc.).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Functional experience in Medical DX/LS Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial environments.
  • SharePoint expert, application development MS Power Platform, Scripting knowledge.
  • Project management skills and experience.
