AdresOur client, one of the fastest-growing ethical chocolate brands in the world, is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their team based in Amsterdam! Your #1 goal is to increase the number of tests being executed and improve the quality of testing. The main objective is to improve the total quality of testing. The company’s development partners will remain responsible for unit testing, you will be responsible for technical e2e testing, regression testing and leading / guiding user acceptance tests. This includes writing User Acceptance Testing scripts, supporting the IT business partners with acceptance criteria on user stories in JIRA / Clickup. Where possible introduce test scripts and automated testing.
As their IT Testing Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of their software solutions. You'll be at the forefront of safeguarding the quality of their systems, contributing to the overall success of the company’s mission. The company is on a mission to make chocolate slave-free. You will be an integral part of the IT team and report to the IT Lead. On a weekly basis, you will collaborate with Business Partners, providing crucial insights into testing results and aligning strategies for rework and new developments requiring testing. Regular interactions with Development Teams will involve continuous check-ins on project progress, testing outcomes, and addressing any necessary rework. Additionally, bi-weekly sessions with both the broader IT Team and the Head of IT provide opportunities to align on testing results, discuss ongoing rework, and ensure synchronisation with the overall status of the IT pipeline and roadmap. This collaborative approach facilitates open communication on project needs, progress, and any emerging challenges, fostering a dynamic and efficient working environment. Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans outlining strategy, scope, required resources, timelines, and test environments.
- Create detailed test cases for both technical and business users based on the established test plan.
- Collect and organise the necessary test data required for executing test cases.
- Implement automated testing to increase efficiency and reduce team pressure.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence to develop a comprehensive test dashboard.
- Monitor overall test performance through established metrics and KPIs.
Requirements:
- Proficient in programming languages, databases, operating systems, and testing tools.
- Experience with Salesforce, Business Central, Boomi, and Shopify is a plus!
- Ability to analyse complex software systems with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience with agile, waterfall, exploratory, and regression testing.
- Prior experience and knowledge in setting up automated testing, including frameworks, tools, languages, and script maintenance.
- Prior experience working in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is a plus!
- Experience in defect management, including logging, monitoring, and communication with stakeholders.
