What you get to do in this role:

• Compile, deliver, and promote end-to-end solution architecture roadmaps that guide product and service evolution.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solutions
• Support built systems, web services, and automation tools that are thoroughly specified, documented, and testable.
• Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows, serving as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy
• Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies
• Use your experience in software development, systems engineering, and networking to proactively prevent repeatable issues.
• Drive initiatives with partner teams to improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design.
• Drive a culture of intolerance to manual activity which results in a highly automated environment delivering scalable solutions.
• Drive monitoring and automation initiatives
• Use extensive lab / test environments to reproduce and root cause issues impacting customer’s ServiceNow deployment(s)
• Use problem solving skills along side industry leading tools to holistically analyse ServiceNow instances to identify and remediate resource contention at all layers of the stack
• Provide relief and sustainable resolution to issues within the infrastructure.
• Team-first attitude and an uncompromising attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, time management, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in shifts that cover weekend day.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Investigate and discover on your own, being self-driven and accountable

To be successful in this role you have:

• Deep knowledge of Linux/RHEL systems
• Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale
• Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
• Working knowledge of one (or more) Relational Database technologies: Mariadb, Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of related infrastructure concepts such as IP networking, block and file storage, load-balancers, etc.
• Working Knowledge of Virtualization and Containers
• Is comfortable designing, authoring, testing, and debugging code in a popular systems languages: Bash, Python, Javascript, Ruby
• 5+ years experience building and maintaining Linux-based systems through automated tooling such as (but not limited to) Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.
• 5+ Years’ experience with DevOps automation, CI/CD pipeline and agile methodologies
• 5+ Years’ experience with Public Cloud technologies, preferably Azure and AWS running production services at scale.
• Experience with the ServiceNow Platform (admin/developer level) is a bonus
• Relevant work experience in a customer-facing technical role
