The Strategic Buyer is responsible for developing, communicating, and implementing winning category strategies for the managed categories in a region (EU), in line with global divisional guidelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Responsible for defining and implementing category strategies for managed categories (direct and/or indirect) and for this purpose: analyze current suppliers in terms of performance, competitiveness, compliance and sustainability, analyze market opportunities and execute category strategy and its business objectives. • Pre-qualify new suppliers in SRM system and hold data and information related to suppliers and agreed commercial conditions accurate and updated in all relevant information systems and databases.
• Source equipment and services on market, understand and assess specifications and needs of stakeholders, run RFI and RFQ processes, propose suppliers to become Andritz FB preferable suppliers. • Negotiate and contract suppliers in line with targets and company needs. • Build and manage relationship with key suppliers to enhance added value. • Manage sustainability and compliance of suppliers over the life of the contract, monitoring both Andritz and Supplier adherence to contractual agreements. • Drive total cost of ownership reduction, through joint process improvements with internal and external stakeholders. • Represent Supply Chain in project execution teams and execute all supply chain management related project activities. • Provide necessary support and coordination to other areas of organization regarding managed suppliers and categories. • Manage implementation of Safety and Environmental requirements within Andritz supplier base.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• In-depth knowledge of: o Strategy principles o Strategic Sourcing o Category strategy development, category management, and implementation o Technical drawings and specifications knowledge o Project management principles o Finance and controlling. • Technology skills (ANDRITZ IT Tools, like SAP, Celonis, Microsoft Office 365) • Language skills : o English o Dutch, German (desirable) • Education: bachelor degree in business administration or Supply Chain Management • At least 5 years experience in an international industrial environment in Supply Chain Management or strategic sourcing positions is essential.
