About the Role
Sitting within the Brand Change & Innovation team, you will part of the BC&I leadership team you will deliver high quality, fit-for-purpose data and insights to support timely, accurate and robust internal and external reporting. You will drive improved sustainability performance through harnessing data and insights that support informed internal decision making, robust external reporting and delivery of our 2030 grain to glass strategic sustainability initiatives across Sustainable Packaging. Working closely with our regional leads, sustainability SME’s, regional governance managers, global sustainability team, Procurement and in-market contacts, you will:
Lead on the collation and coordination of external ESG indices reporting, including year end reporting across all areas required
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of grain to glass (G2G) data across owned databases, engaging with stakeholders where appropriate. Document and manage G2G data governance requirements for Sustainable Packaging
Develop and execute Sustainable Packaging data and ReportingStrategy and roadmap to 2030 and beyond
Clear articulation of all reporting requirements and deadlines including monthly KPI reporting at most snr level of the business, working with finance to align on required detail at market/region level to ensure accountability at local level
Generate internal sustainability reports per business needs, drawing insights from large, complex data sets drawn from multiple systems
External benchmarking providing best practice data for Sustainable Packaging
Reporting framework review & application to Diageo
Experience/Skills/Capabilities required:
Experience in data science and analysis, data cleansing and data management
Strategic thinker who recognises which insights drive business value and how best to impactfully communicate these with technical and non-technical audiences
Strict attention to detail and inquisitive attitude to ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled
Ability to research and mine external and internal sources to drive insights
Experience within Sustainable Packaging reporting and Strategy and an understanding of FMCG and EPR requirements
Structured, organised self-starter who is comfortable making sense from ambiguity.
Strong knowledge of Strategy and Reporting within Sustainable Packaging environment
Strong inter-personnel and communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
Experience working remotely with different cultures and diverse customer groups
Expertise in sustainability reporting frameworks
