Team Leader Reservations

At Novotel Amsterdam City, we are seeking a passionate leader for our Reservations and Banquet Sales departments. As a hotel situated in the business hub of Amsterdam, we welcome both major corporations for prominent conferences and leisure guests eager to explore the beauty of Amsterdam. You feel that you are the right person to ensure optimal occupancy while meeting all our guests' needs.
 
In this role, our Reservations Supervisor and Banquet Sales Supervisor will report directly to you. Together with our reservations representatives, they manage all individual and group bookings for our 610 rooms, restaurant, and all events in our 17 halls, covering a total area of 1,300 m².
 
What will you do?
Novotel Amsterdam City is the flagship of AccorInvest and therefore serves as a project-leading hotel. As part of Novotel Amsterdam City's commercial team, you play a crucial role in implementing commercial strategies. In addition to these executive tasks, you oversee the performance of your department.
 
You can also dive into technical (pilot) projects and the implementation of efficiency improvements. The year 2023 was marked by many projects such as the upgrade to the new Opera Cloud system, the development and testing of the new MICE tool, and the transition to the new city tax (rate codes, etc.). You eagerly embrace new projects with both hands.
 
Ensuring exceptional guest experiences and overseeing the most service-oriented MICE activities bring you joy. You will work closely with other departments within our commercial division, such as Sales and Revenue Management, with the ultimate goal of making your department Sales-driven.

You can count on:
 

• A salary above the Hospitality Collective Labor Agreement scale 8, ranging between (€3,239.05 and €4,174.57) based on a full-time contract;
• 25 vacation days based on a full-time (38-hour) workweek;
• Part-time work is possible in this role! We are looking for a new Team Leader who is available for at least 3 days a week, but if you are interested in full-time, this is also possible;

For the position of Team Leader Reservations, we are looking for someone who sees and seizes commercial opportunities! You are a social person, a true coach, and flexible. Furthermore, you identify with the following requirements:
 

• You have completed an MBO level 4 education and have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar hotel and similar position;
• At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor of a (medium) large team;
• You have knowledge of automated systems such as Opera Cloud, Delphi, and PowerBI (experience with these specific systems is not mandatory but is a plus);
• You have excellent command of the English language.
