Our client is a technical company based in Nijkerk, which acquired a new facility in Blerick in 2020. They have initiated a project for the Dutch Railways (NS), and they are currently seeking technical experts for this endeavor. The company is dedicated to achieving maximum uptime at the lowest possible lifecycle costs. The primary activities involve maintaining and repairing rail vehicles and all associated systems. They provide comprehensive services to transport companies, maintenance services, and manufacturers, ensuring 24/7 support for their clients on-site or in their own workshop. The specific project you will be involved in focuses on the repair and revision of approximately 150 NS trains, involving the replacement of parts and repainting.

The Blerick facility is situated by the railway and is easily accessible by bike, car, and public transportation. They offer a travel allowance, making it convenient for individuals commuting from the municipalities of Roermond, Venray, and Peel en Maas.

As a technical employee or E/W mechanic, you'll ensure the smooth operation of the most beautiful trains on a daily basis. The tasks are diverse and include assembling parts in the train, wiring systems, electrical work, and much more. All these activities take place on the premises of our client in Blerick.

During your training period, you'll be guided by experienced colleagues who will teach you the tricks of the trade. You also have the opportunity to advance to become an electrical or mechanical mechanic in the long run. If you already have experience in these roles, you can directly step into this position and expand your responsibilities. Even if you have no prior experience with trains but possess technical expertise, this company offers opportunities for growth. The work is highly varied due to the different clients and train models you'll encounter. No day is the same during this project.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Maintaining installations under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
• Performing repairs and diagnosing problems.
• Documenting and keeping records of the completed tasks.
• Conducting initial checks at the beginning of your shift.

This is a full-time position in day shift from 08:00 to 16:30, with the possibility of occasional overtime, subject to discussion.
