Johnsons Innovative Medicines is recruiting for Associate Director of Data and Business Analytics, located in Leiden, the Netherlands or Berne, Switzerland.
The Associate Director of Data Insights and Business Analytics plays a pivotal role in advancing the project’s objectives by extracting valuable insights from intricate data landscapes. This role demands the skillful formulation of cohesive narratives, achieved through effective cross-functional collaboration within the projects. These narratives are integral in informing decision-making processes, particularly at the critical intersections of Research & Development (R&D), finance, and capacity management. The Associate Director's expertise in blending data-driven insights with strategic foresight is essential in navigating and aligning these key business areas
Key Responsibilities:
Craft insightful data analyses at the crucial intersection of finance, capacity management, clinical operations, and research and development (R&D)
Design and execute sophisticated data analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization to uncover deep data/business insights, enhancing strategic decision-making.
Convert complex project queries into compelling data-driven narratives, leveraging information gathered from multiple departmental sources.
Maintain a cutting-edge understanding of industry trends and developments in data analytics and Business intelligence
Implement and refine visualizations for resource optimization and process digitalization, fostering increased efficiency and modernization.
Establish and nurture robust interdepartmental relationships to promote the free flow of information and encourage collaborative problem-solving.
Take a leading role in, and make significant contributions to, diverse projects spanning multiple organizational departments.
Serve as a catalyst for change within the organization, driving continuous improvement and long-term success through proficient data management and analytic strategies.

Required:
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Related Disciplines (e.g. Pharmaceutical Sciences, PharmD)
Preferred:
- Additionally, MBA from a top tier university
Experience and Skills:

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, particularly within R&D.
Strategic orientation with a focus on aligning with business needs and creating new opportunities.
Robust scientific understanding of pharmaceutical development, especially in the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) field
Advanced expertise in Data Analytics for generating strategic insights.
Exceptional skills in planning, organizing, managing, and reporting progress on multiple tasks.
Proven ability in influencing and building consensus within a matrix organization.
Technical proficiency with supply demand tools (e.g., Planisware).
Strong analytical abilities, capable of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying Insights and strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in data visualization tools and data analytics.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred:
Varied experience across multiple functional areas within pharmaceuticals, including but not limited to Analytical Development, Drug Product Development, and Manufacturing.
Experience in regulatory filings for vaccines at the IND/BLA stages
