BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver detailed investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 350+ multi-asset investment professionals construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles over $900 billion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific.
Within MASS, Manager Research evaluates investment strategies for multi-manager client portfolios, working closely with portfolio managers across client segments and asset managers globally.
We are looking to hire an Associate or Vice President level Fixed Income Manager Researcher into either the London or Amsterdam MASS team.
Key responsibilities
Independently and in teams, evaluate and provide thoughtful recommendations on Fixed Income strategies and asset classes across the globe
Make well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to complete these
Work closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams and tailor investment solutions to our global clients
Active ownership of recommended investment strategies and ongoing monitoring
Participate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investments
Document research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring with well-prepared reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioning
Stay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industry
Represent BlackRock and Manager Research in client meetings and to the investment industry
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our Manager Research processes by proactively suggesting and developing new research techniques using our advanced technology tools
About you
Demonstrated experience and proven success in conducting investment research on asset managers that provide Fixed Income strategies
Preference to have deep experience with Fixed Income assets classes
Outstanding analytical capabilities, which form an important part of our research process
Strong cross team and firm relationship building skills, capable of adapting style of communication to the audience
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrable interest in investments and research
Ability to travel if required, to destinations globally
Ability to work and learn independently, while also acting collaboratively as a great team member in our global group
Experience working in a global environment, necessitating flexible hours at times
Preference to have relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA/IFA)
Preference to have exhibited leadership and ability to serve as a mentor

Our hybrid work model
