The client related business is supported by Trading, Structuring and Research expertise. Our main goal is to help our clients navigate the markets to position them for consistent and stable growth.

The team

The ING NL Origination Fixed Income Sales Team covers NL and NORDIC institutional investors for SSA/IG/EM/HY credit products, as well as European Tier 1 investors for EM/HY credit products as central point of specialist coverage. Clients include (Global) Asset Managers, Insurers, Pension Funds, Banks, and other specialist credit investors. Products and services in scope include cash bonds (primary/secondary), research, private placements, loans held for trading, (credit) derivatives, and other structured credit products. This team is part of a Global Financial Markets Sales organization with >300 colleagues operating globally across multiple client segments and products. We work closely with our stakeholders in the value chain including DCM, syndicate, trading, research, and other products/services to deliver value to the organisation and our clients.

Role and responsibilities

This role will have a broad focus from Credit to Sovereign, Supranational and Agency (SSA) distribution to institutional investors across NL & Nordics. You will be covering and developing a dedicated list of T1 real money clients whilst acting as a back-up for other members of the team for EM/IG/HY clients covered by the desk. You will take a pro-active approach to map out our client base, and engage across the ING value chain of Issuance, Trading, E-Sales and Research. You will build and institutionalize relationships via the introduction of key ING colleagues whilst delivering value to clients and our internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education

  • BSc or MSc or equivalent degree
  • CFA preferred
  • Relevant sales training (also provided on the job)

Experience/Knowledge

  • Understanding of Financial Markets
  • Fixed Income Experience at financial institution(s)
  • Proven personal interest in Financial Markets and Investments
  • Existing client base preferred
