As a Data Engineer you are responsible for the design, build and integration of data pipelines towards the data models. You are responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that is used by CBS to accommodate data driven decisions. 

 

Part of your job will be to design and implement a data model that will combine several logistical data sources for a specific business model. Data quality is important and data modeling needs to be transparent, fitting the business needs. Your role to is to make sure the models hold quality and are accommodating the business.

 

• You perform ETL and Database work, design and develop data pipelines on a daily basis;
• You determine the optimal data storage system based on the business/system requirements;
• You write and fine-tune queries for performance and scalability;
• You work closely with data analysts and data scientists to implement and ensure a proper backend for their insights or models.
