Troubleshooter/Mentor TEM Manufacturing – Electron Microscopy (Engineer II)

About the Role:

Are you the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and technically diverse TEM manufacturing environment? As a Troubleshooter/Mentor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring minimal system downtime for microscopes and identifying effective recovery and production continuation strategies. You'll also be instrumental in assisting system engineers by providing valuable advice and knowledge transfer.

Who Are We Looking For:

Technical Support: Provide effective first-line technical support to system engineers within TEM microscope manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems to our customers.

Ownership and Escalation: Take ownership and escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders when progress is limited or stagnant. An inclination toward critical issue is vital.

Solution-Focused: Capable of responding to inquiries and providing concrete action plans.

Process Enhancement: Actively seek opportunities to enhance and streamline the troubleshooting process.

Technical Expertise: Possess an extensive understanding of complex systems.

Knowledge Sharing: Conduct knowledge transfers to fellow troubleshooters and system engineers.

Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills for effective collaboration with all team members.

How Will You Succeed:

Education and Experience:

Educational Background: HBO, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related field.

Experience: A demonstrated ability with TEM electron microscopes.

Preferred Background: A background in materials science, semiconductor technology, chemistry, or life sciences is a plus.

Cleanroom Experience: Experience in a cleanroom environment is advantageous.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in fixing and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high-voltage systems is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

TEM Expertise: A proven ability with TEM electron microscopes.

High-Tech Industry: Experience in the high-tech industry and working in a cleanroom environment.

Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Collaboration: A collaborative spirit and a determination to persevere.

Training Coordination: Proven ability to coordinate training activities and thrive under pressure.

Prioritization: The capability to prioritize tasks based on departmental and production goals.

Technical Comprehension: Proficiency in comprehending complex technical materials and effectively conveying that information to others.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and adapt.

Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable in constantly evolving environments.

Hands-On Approach: A hands-on approach and a passion for advanced technical tools.

Language Skills: Fluency in English (both spoken and written), with knowledge of Dutch being a plus.

Proactive Mentality: A proactive demeanor and the ability to develop creative solutions.
