ESG Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

Equinix Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Senior Data Analyst to join our global team. As a key contributor to Equinix's sustainability initiatives, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting ESG-related data to drive informed decision-making and uphold our commitment to corporate responsibility. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading global interconnection and data center company at the forefront of sustainable business practices. 

Responsibilities

Data Management and Analysis

  • Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards

  • Utilize advanced analytics to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement in Equinix's ESG reporting requirements

ESG Reporting and Disclosure

  • Participate the preparation and production of comprehensive ESG reports in alignment with industry standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, SEC) for internal and external stakeholders.  This may also include various local governments

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of ESG data for regulatory and voluntary disclosures

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their ESG data needs and provide insights that support Equinix's sustainability goals

  • Act as a subject matter expert on ESG data-related inquiries, participating in stakeholder meetings and forums

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in the ESG space, driving continuous improvement in data analytics methodologies and reporting processes

  • Implement enhancements to data collection and analysis processes for greater efficiency and accuracy

Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with global teams, including finance, legal, investor relations and ESG teams, to integrate ESG data into broader corporate reporting initiatives

  • Support internal and external audit processes related to ESG data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, or a related field

  • Proven years of experience in data analysis, auditing or financial reporting, ideally, but not required a focus on ESG metrics and reporting

  • General knowledge of ESG frameworks, disclosure standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Proficient in data visualization tools, data warehousing and reporting software

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $89,000 to $142,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
