We are seeking a seasoned Head of Brand & Marketing Activation to lead the newly built Brand & Marketing Activation team within the Marketing & Communication function. This individual plays a key role in shaping the market-oriented voice and expression of ABB E-mobility, driving the development of the company´s positioning, brand strategy and identity, creative, content, campaigns, digital and social media efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean energy, has extensive experience in building winning global brands, possesses strong technical skills, and has a proven track record of successfully managing marketing technology operations.

Your responsibilities

  • The Head of Brand and Marketing Activation leads a sub-function within Marketing & Communications, in charge of
  • Brand: Defining and maintaining the company's brand strategy and brand identity, including messaging, visual elements, working closely with the UX Design team at ABB E-mobility and working in partnership with ABB.
  • Budget management: Developing and managing the Brand & Marketing Activation budget, allocating resources effectively, and tracking expenses to ensure ROI.
  • Digital: Overseeing digital marketing efforts, including website, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media marketing, and online advertising.
  • Content & messaging: Developing cut-through creative and messaging and content for campaigns, websites, and live experiences, internally and externally, resonating with key audiences. Working closely with other Marketing Communications functions such as Product and Portfolio Marketing and Communications.
  • Asset management: Managing company-wide online libraries for campaign, photography, and video assets.
  • Activation: Providing strategic, operational, conceptual, and creative direction for consistent awareness and demand activities across all marketing activities.
  • Creative execution: Providing creative leadership and guidance on all creative executions for marketing and communication.
  • Team collaboration: Foster and sustain agile mindset, values, principles, and ways of working to improve customer-centric work outcomes. Transformation: Playing a key role in driving the transformation of the Marketing & Communications function.
  • Partner management: Leading and orchestrating external partners and agencies.

Your background

  • You should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in global brand management, marketing, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving successful brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Ideally you have a solid background and experience in working on technology, software and/or the automotive brands. Expertise in building consumer brands is of advantage. Experience from working in a brand or digital agency is preferred.
  • You feel comfortable in significantly influencing or leading the long-term brand, go-to-market marketing, and design strategy for a company
  • You are able to initiate and enable the development of new and innovative solutions to key brand, marketing and go-to-market challenges.
  • As a seasoned leader, you are solution-oriented problem solver across functions and beyond your own team and function.
  • You are able to apply in-depth B2C and B2B branding, marketing, and communications knowledge, as well as business and commercial expertise to differentiate the company from competition in its go-to-market activity
