All about the role

You’ll be joining a high profile innovation focused team developing new and exciting capabilities in our platform ecosystem.

You’ll work on a cross-functional, distributed team delivering rapid iterations to our cutting edge AI based solutions, surprising and delighting our customers with the best matches for their needs, helping them to reorder their favourites and to get support in the moment. 

Communication & collaboration are key parts of our role. You will be liaising with product owners, delivery managers, UX designers and our client/server-side engineers to discuss and implement new features, improve our existing ones, improve performance, help consolidate platforms and build beautiful user interfaces in the iOS app which is used by our hungry customers.

You will be encouraged to grow within the company, having opportunities to present research findings and suggestions. You will be able to try out new ideas and concepts, keep up to date with the latest technologies and be able to mentor others. You will be able to demonstrate your extensive knowledge to the iOS ecosystem, helping solve deeper technological and architectural issues which may arise.

• Creating delightful end-user experiences for our customers
• Iterate quickly, experiment fast and learn as we go.
• Work with the cross functional team to optimise pace of delivery, putting the right solution in the right space
• Consulting with team-members in Product, UX and Design, pushing forwards the art of the possible 
• Connect with the wider JET iOS community, sharing what you’ve learnt and bringing in best practices from the wider group.

What will you bring to the table?

• Demonstrable experience developing native iOS Apps
• Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Async/Await, Actors
• You are familiar with architectural patterns like MVP, MVVM, and MVC
• Writing tests for your code is part of your definition of done
• You grasp the importance of UX and design systems and the work you deliver is sustainable
• Enterprise tools / CI Systems
• You have an eye for detail but also understand when a more pragmatic approach is needed
• You are proactive in sharing and seeking out information
