Job Overview

The EMEA IVD Sales/Business Development role is responsible for promoting and presenting the TE IVD Business Unit products and services.  This position is responsible for developing and executing a territory plan which delivers profitable growth, by leveraging the full range of IVD Services, Products and Core Competencies.   This position serves as the primary interface with prospect accounts and customers while collaborating with internal functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction and the goals of the business unit.

This role drives the growth objectives in our key segments of microfluidic consumables including IVD Point of Care / Point of Need, Cell Analysis, NGS and other key Life Science Applications (e.g. Cell Therapies) while identifying new areas of opportunity.  Partnering with marketing to identify and target customer organizations to develop new sales leads and opportunities.   Aligning with NPD Engineering and Operations to generate winning value proposition proposals to grow the business and meet or exceed FY targets.

This position has NPD & Contract Manufacturing sales responsibilities in the EMEA Region. Reports to the Global Head of NPD & Mfg. Commercial.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a principal point of contact and support to customers for product development activities from the discovery phase through verification and validation and support a successful ongoing manufacturing account relationship.
  • Develop proposals and quotations structured to satisfy the organization’s revenue and profit objectives by collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Quality and Finance. Manage assigned customer accounts (if applicable) for new projects and support ongoing projects activities.
  • Maintain or increase customer satisfaction by delivering extraordinary customer experience including collaborating with Department Heads to monitor and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Promote sales actions to keep and win new business, finding opportunities to cross-sell capabilities, e.g., Clinical Regulatory services.  Participate in industry trade exhibitions and visit customer sites as necessary.  Contribute to and align with Marketing programs.
  • Refine IVD ‘Go to Market’ strategy with Commercial Team and help set IVD Industry Segmentation and priorities with Commercial Team
  • Contribute to forecast accuracy and budget preparation.
  • Document activities and opportunities via Salesforce to maintain a current and accurate depiction of the sales funnel while maintaining a database of accounts and contacts.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness about IVD/Microfluidic trends and competitive activity.

What your background should look like:

  • Physics or Engineering degree (Biomedical, Chemical, mechanical, industrial). Other degrees (Business or Innovation) with a solid technical background acquired in microfluidic or medical/diagnostic device companies.
  • English level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages -CEFR) or demonstrate English level during the initial interview.
  • More than 5 years of experience in the microfluidic and/or medical/diagnostic field
  • 5 or more years in international business roles
  • Ease of communication at all levels of the company and with customers and partners.
