I am recruiting for a leading Maritime company based in the Netherlands and they are looking for a Key Account Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Formulating and executing strategic plans for designated accounts in alignment with company objectives, aiming to achieve both short and long-term revenue growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.
- Promoting and selling engine and turbocharger components, upgrade systems, technical services, and similar packages.
- Coordinating with various functional groups and personnel at different organizational levels, locally and globally, to achieve results in an effective and professional manner.
- Achieving annual sales targets and other key performance indicators.
- Cultivating new business opportunities through the establishment and management of client relationships to enhance sales.
- Managing follow-ups on sales quotations, engaging in negotiations, and conducting customer visits based on a weekly plan and company processes.
- Collaborating closely with ship owners and vessel management companies, addressing inquiries and disputes, and providing technical support in coordination with the technical department.
- Resolving conflicts and delivering timely solutions to customers.
- Recommending actions to enhance sales performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Identifying competitors in each application and project, including their local representatives.
- Providing regular reports to the Head of the Department.
Role Requirements:
- You are an ambitious individual holding at least a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a University degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
- Possession of a Master's or Business Management Degree will be viewed as an asset.
- You bring a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably within the Maritime industry or a multinational company.
- Thriving in a complete sales environment, you excel in the role of a hunter.
- Demonstrating the ability to work under pressure and adapt as a team member.
- Infusing a positive, can-do attitude into the workplace.
- Cultivating relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Displaying good cross-cultural understanding.
- Leveraging strong negotiating skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
