As Security Officer, you ensure that the business strategies of the SDC can be covered by Swisscom's security strategy, therefore you will also work closely with the SDC management. You help to ensure that the division understands and actively manages the risks, and that group security is also aligned with business needs. Furthermore, you support the division in ensuring compliance. The necessary processes (risk management, compliance, etc.) are established in the division and are lived. The division receives the necessary support to be able to successfully and securely complete projects.
What you move
- The Security Officer brings a deeper understanding of the needs and the business strategy to address the security concerns of the business at an early stage and to ensure that the security organization can initiate the necessary measures and provide the required resources in good time.
- The virtual team, which works from Group Security for the respective area, is professionally managed by the Security Officer. The Security Officer ensures that the most important strategic projects and products receive the necessary support.
- The Security Officer ensures that the Managing Director, Business Representative, and the Supervisory Board have the necessary transparency regarding the risk landscape of the respective business unit (security risks and security compliance of the products).
- The Security Officer understands the business area(s) and can align the security strategy accordingly. He ensures that risks are identified and dealt with at an early stage. Where appropriate, the Security Officer has an interface function with the relevant bodies of the authorities.
- The Security Officer acts as a sparring partner for the SDC management in the area of security.
- The activities can be described, like (but not limited):
- Identifying vulnerabilities in SDC current network.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network.
- Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.
- Performing penetration tests to find any flaws.
- Collaborating with management and the IT department to improve security.
- Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage.
- Conduct a regular a security risk assessment and informs the necessary stakeholders (e.g. executive board of SDC, Group Security, data governance, etc.) about relevant risks. The assessment shall also include a brief assessment of existing (allowed) data access to Switzerland and implemented control mechanisms
- Educating colleagues about security software and best practices for information security
- Primary point of contact for SDC application teams for all security and compliance related questions
