What will you be doing?

As a Senior Service Engineer you will work closely with customers, dealers and our own Account Managers. Using your knowledge and experience, you will provide them with support for technical problems and issues across the whole range of vehicles offered by MAN to the Dutch market. This covers trucks, public transport buses, coaches and delivery vans - whether powered by diesel, gas or electric. 

You will get to the bottom of technical problems reported to you. You will try to come up with the most suitable solution so that the customer and/or dealer can get back on track. You will communicate with our customers and dealers both by phone and by digital means (e.g. Emails). If necessary, you will liaise with the manufacturer and other suppliers to understand what is causing the problem. In some cases you will also visit the dealer to see the technical problem on site. So that we can help customers quickly, we make a record within the team of all incoming queries and recommendations given.

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will support management in developing and implementing departmental targets in line with the organisation's strategy and you will initiate optimisations and improvements to departmental processes. Together with Pon Academy, you will help dealer organisations to increase their expertise and become more professional in technical areas. 

As you will be new to our company, you can bring a fresh approach to the way we work at the moment. We would be fascinated to see what you have noticed and happy to learn from your insights! You will work in a team with four colleagues. We have an informal atmosphere, short, direct lines of communication and a 'can-do' approach.

What do we expect from you?

• You have completed a higher professional technical education (e.g. Automotive engineering at an institute of technology (HTS Autotechniek)) and you have a minimum of five years' relevant work experience.
• You tackle your own work independently, but also regularly seek contact with your colleagues.
• You enjoy supporting colleagues and customers as effectively as possible with their queries.
• Knowledge of Dutch not essential but it is the language generally spoken on the shop floor.

Application process

The application process consists of two interviews. In the first interview you will meet your team manager and a colleague from HR. Did we click with each other?
