The VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Planner Analyst is responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations that support procurement department activities. This role will consider remote applicants (within the US) for this role.

Customer Support Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Gathers and interprets relevant data (cost, quality, demand patterns, etc.) and provides analytical support; Example, site inventory and material stock out analysis and trends, material availability reports
  • Develops and communicates periodic trend and performance reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Leads/supports process improvement teams
  • Provides Material Requirements Planning (MRP) support to buyers; Example, training documents, and coaching. Coordinates daily material issues and communication, ensuring alignment between production stockouts versus SAP stockouts
  • Analyzes inventory trends and reports findings
  • Supports part analysis
  • Reviews material plans (planned orders) against actuals
  • Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly
  • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting and risks
  • Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB
  • Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team
  • Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advance degree preferred with minimum 5 Years of experience in sales, trends, business analysis preferred
  • General knowledge of the electrical industry or parallel industry preferred
  • Combination of education and experience demonstrating ability for more complex assignment and/or promotable within the organization
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills and MS Office
  • Basic Finance/Accounting Skills
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial operations or internal controls preferred
  • Experience using multiple tools such as Salesforce, Qlikview, SAP, among others
  • Certified in Project and/or Process Management preferred
  • Analytical experience and ability to analyze and interpret business performance measures
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record of designing and managing successful programs at scale, both individually and in the context of a large program portfolio
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, an ability to work effectively under pressure and within short time constraints, resourcefulness and able to deal with ambiguity, prioritize while multi tasking and maintain flexibility in the performance of the job responsibilities.
