We are looking for a Lifting Safety Champion in Large Motors and Generators factory, located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. We are performing hundreds of lifts daily in range of 1…100 tons. In this role you will be responsible for Lifting Safety, which is one of the recognized top risks in Large Motors and Generators operations. You will build systems and mitigate lifting risks within the whole value chain including R&D phase, supply chain, production process and customer site installation. LPG HSE Manager

Your responsibilities

• Possess relevant certification(s), such as the European Crane Operator License (ECOL) or local equivalent, and technical knowledge of lifting systems and equipment
• Technical knowledge in critical lifting operations, cargo securing and lifting including experience with complex lifting tasks, a variety of lifting equipment and rigging/slinging techniques
• Familiarity with special lifting planning and procedures
• Implementation of Standardized Lifting Procedures (Production, Product Design, R&D procedures)
• Conduct training and perform competency assessments of lifting qualified operators
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments for lifting operations, including identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing control measures

Your background

• Operational experience of critical lifting operations relevant to their facility and product life cycle
• Appropriate lifting device identification & usage, lifting configuration, rated capacities and other lifting techniques
• Requires the ability to influence and motivate best practice amongst Operators, Engineers, Supervisors, Managers, R&D, Product Managers and production development (AME)
• Be an effective communicator with the ability to participate in operational auditing and mechanical lifting training
• Fluent English and Finnish
