The Role

Our Transformation Management Consulting practice is looking for a Senior Manager – Consulting, Transformation Management Office, to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about transformation, wants to make an impact, and loves working together to deliver flawless results for an end-client to join us on our mission. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for handling the full transformation life cycle, from operational readiness to change and adoption to systems engineering and truly the entirety of organizational development for our clients.

At Cognizant, we help clients with their most strategic initiatives. This group in particular works cross-functionally with the practices within Consulting to handle the orchestrion, business readiness, and design to create a model that will build organizational maturity for a client. We serve some of the most prestigious companies in the world, across industries, including Banking, Media, Energy, Healthcare, Insurance, Manufacturing, Travel, and more.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundation in process, process mapping, building workflows, etc to apply it in an Advisory Consulting environment. To be successful, you’ll need to be a self-starter who is energized by process and loves to identify pain points and transform a process and the way business is done. Examples of a background that will help you succeed are experience with Process Optimization, PMO, Project Management, Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management or similar. In this role, you will apply your experience on a client project and/or internal initiatives, and you will be part of a team that will guide clients through complex scenarios and lead them into the digital era.

At the Senior Manager / Associate Director Level, this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world. Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engagement Lead and manage teams of Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managers for one or more client projects to ensure effective negotiations, well-aligned solution-delivery-to-plan, clear engagement governance accountabilities, profitability, and overall client satisfaction.

• Enrich client partnering and anticipate client needs based on a solid understanding of emerging industry requirements and/or technological breakthroughs in PMO value acceleration.

• Ensures the appropriate alignment and collaboration of consulting teams and individuals to support project requirements and activities in the focus area and within larger Cognizant and client ecosystems.

• Serve as a people leader, supporting the recruitment, onboarding, upskilling, and mentorship of your colleagues in Consulting; participate in people development and community-building activities.

• Guide development, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

• Advocate for and establish appropriate recognition for Consulting within projects and negotiate applicable consultant rates in project sizing that correspond to the value Consultants contribute to engagements.

• Develop and manage the capture, communication, and sharing of intellectual property (IP) and project artifacts for a focus area, domain area, or practice management area.

• Exercise leadership in the development of Consulting service offerings.

• Leverage collegial networks across Cognizant (e.g., sales, service line community, offshore delivery) and extern partners to innovate solutioning or resolve issues; and 

• Support and contribute to the establishment of thought leadership in the industry, to promote Cognizant’s brand and to drive additional opportunities for Cognizant.

Qualifications

• 10 + years of consulting, professional services, digital strategy development, PMO, advisory, or transformation programs operating in a client-facing capacity serving and leading external client engagements.

• A proven track record in a client-facing role with at least 2 of which (though ideally more) are leading digital technology team.

• Experience in successfully developing and leading consultant teams in consultant tasks (e.g., planning, task structuring, analysis, solution delivery)

• Works with Cognizant account stakeholders (e.g., CPs, CRMs), technology partners (e.g., Amazon) and other business allies to identify consulting opportunities or develop winning proposals.

• Contingent on experience and expertise, demystify emerging technologies, and translates innovations (e.g., computer-aided medical diagnostic, AI, Machine Learning, hybrid cloud) into the business impact benefits clients can understand.

• Regularly contribute to the practice by developing practice initiatives, research on industry trends, knowledge repositories; develop reusable consultative strategies and solutioning approaches in support of business development and expansion activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical discipline; MBA or Master’s or advanced business degree preferred.   

• Travel Required: As needed by client.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $155,000.00 – $195,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
