As Business Controller, you will directly report to the CFO and oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, treasury activities, and tax compliance. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing cash transactions, collaborating with auditors, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.

Our Client is a leading ship supply company located in the area of Rotterdam. Our client is currently looking for a Controller a.i who has the passion to optimize financial processes.

Description

As a Controller a.i you are responsible for the following tasks;

• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Oversee all the accounting functions postings, provisions, depreciation.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Preparing financial statements and reports.
• Be alert to cash management transactions.
• Collaborate with auditors during audit processes.
• Manage treasury activities, such as lending, factoring and bank account management
• Ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations.
• Preparing and submitting tax returns (VAT & payroll tax).
• Supporting tax audits and advising on tax implications of business decisions.
• Comply with government requirements (CBS, Intrastat, etc.).

Profile

• Available Immediately
• You have an HBO education in finance.
• You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English.
• You have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and experience with financial reporting
• You are familiar with accounting software and ERP systems, such as Navision and SAP.
• You have strong leadership and management skills.
• You are analytical, problem-solving and have attention to detail.
