AdresWe are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Research Program Management. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in the team working closely with the Head of Research on executing existing and new projects, implementing the strategic vision, and collaborating closely with key stakeholders across Philips Business Units (BUs). This role requires a balance of analytical thinking and effective execution, ideal for individuals with high standards of delivery and a background in science, engineering, investment banking, or management consulting. You will be a thought partner to your peers and manager and will sit on the Management Team of Philips Research.
Your role:
Strategic Direction : Support the formulation and communication of the Research organization's strategic vision. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market shifts within the innovation landscape to ensure our Research efforts remain cutting-edge and relevant.
Collaboration and Liaison : Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across Philips Business Units. Act as a bridge between Research and BUs to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and translate them into actionable insights for the Research team.
Thought Partnership : Serve as a strategic thought partner to Research program leads. Collaborate to adapt and align Research priorities with the strategic goals of our Business Units, fostering a cohesive and agile approach to innovation.
Innovation Champion : Champion a culture of innovation within the Research organization, encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and a willingness to explore new approaches to problem-solving.
Cross-functional Leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of professionals. Foster an environment of collaboration, continuous learning, and personal growth.
Project Leadership : Oversee the planning and execution of research initiatives, ensuring they align with both the department's and the company's strategic goals.
Stakeholder Communication : Develop clear and concise communications to update stakeholders on Research strategy, program status, and outcomes.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.) preferred.
5+ years of experience in innovation, strategy, and execution roles.
2+ years of experience in strategy building and strategy consulting.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
Experience leading and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Proficiency in project and Program Management and process design.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving change and continuous improvement.
Experience within a corporate innovation ecosystem is a plus.
