- Provide direction and supervision to affected departments during execution of meetings/events.
- Serves as the on-site contact relative to logistics of group room block, food and beverage, public meeting space, vendor services, affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes.
- Coordinate with outside vendors
- Assist /support Operational Teams with event execution
- Greet guests and direct them to appropriate places
- Review plans, identify gaps, and take proactive efforts to meet revenue and service targets
- Analyze customers’ needs and financial issues of hotel; recommend and implement appropriate resolution of customers’ concerns
- Participate in meetings as determined by the Director of Meetings & Conventions i.e., forecast, menu review, department, citywide pre-cons, operational department pre shifts etc.
- Oversee movement of hotel/customer equipment to complete a tight setup of function space.
- This candidate will be 85% on the Events Floor Space working with clients and Team Members and will handle social as well as corporate business. The other 15% of the time working to prep for group arrivals and anticipating their needs and doing BEOs for internal departmental events.
